California-Nevada AWWA Conference

The Spring Conference of the California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association officially begins today. One way for you to participate in the conference for free is to follow this link to get an entry pass to the product exhibitor hall.

This will be open from 1 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, and will feature about 100 manufacturers and distributors of pipes, valves, pumps, chlorinators, water quality analyzers, and many other water treatment and distribution equipment items. Although you may not be in the market for such equipment, it is a great opportunity to learn more about our industry and the people in it. And did I mention that it’s free?
Parking is $10 per day at the adjacent Hollywood and Highland parking structure (the same one used for the Kodak, El Capitan, and Grauman’s Chinese theatres.) Or you can take the MetroRail to the Hollywood/Highland station, also adjacent to the hotel.
If you need to add a name to the “Compliments of” line on your free pass, you can use “College of the Canyons” or even “Steve McLean.”
I hope to see you there tomorrow. I will also be attending technical sessions on Thursday, so don’t expect another blog until at least Friday.
